Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation in the United States seeks an Integration Engineer to lead Abound-related and building intelligence projects, from onboarding to solution development and turnover. You will guide the technical team and coordinate with stakeholders to meet customer expectations.

The ideal candidate has a strong software integration background, experience with Enterprise Software (on premise or cloud), building management systems, HVAC assets, and protocols such as BACnet and MQTT.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Information Systems, or Computer Engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience HVAC systems including AC package units, VAV, cooling towers, pumps, Building Automation Systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hardware/software installations, configuration, troubleshooting, and technical consultancy to customers.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders and project/IT managers on project scoping and progress.
  • Lead customer Installation/Upgrade sessions and manage project tracking.

About this role

Our Integration Engineer will support Abound-related and building intelligence projects, from onboarding, integration and solution development through customer turnover. They will be the technical lead on the project team. We will rely on this individual to participate in internal and external meetings, providing their expertise to all teams as we build successful projects and exceed customer expectations.

The ideal candidate will come from a strong software integration background, preferably having worked with Enterprise Software (on premise or cloud-based), building management systems and controllers, HVAC assets, and various communication and data transfer protocols. Experience installing, configuring, supporting, and troubleshooting enterprise software systems and devices is strongly desired.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, hardware/software installations, configuration, troubleshooting, and technical consultancy to customers
  • Collaborative project management activities that include, but are not limited to, interacting with company and customer stakeholders, work with company and customer project/IT managers, and assist with project scoping
  • Ability to multitask and handle various projects at the same time
  • Manage/Coordinate customer Installation/Upgrade progress from start to finish, lead customer Installation/Upgrade meeting sessions, and open/track/close completed projects using internal tracking tools
  • Maintain proficiency with current and newly released Carrier Software products and technologies through self-directed (reading documentation) and formal training (provided by Product Management)
  • Ability to work independently with various OSes, databases, and an understanding of Networking/Firewall ports and protocols
  • Analyzes customer sites and company system requirements for use/integration and recommends and implements technical solutions to meet the needs
  • Responsible for identifying and mapping BACnet points for consumption into the Abound or related platform
  • Configures and troubleshoots integrated products and devices
  • Diagnoses and resolves network/integration technical problems on customer sites (or remotely) and provides appropriate reports to management
  • Manage a pipeline of pre-existing and target account customers

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Information Systems, or Computer Engineering
  • 3+ years of experience HVAC systems, including, but not limited to, AC package units, VAV air distribution, cooling towers, pumps, and building automation systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the operation and maintenance of various HVAC systems, including, but not limited to, AC package units, VAV air distribution, cooling towers, pumps, building automation systems, DDC controls and sensors, air compressors, and pneumatic controls, life safety systems, generators, electrical distribution, and luminary
  • Professional services consulting with B2B/B2E experience
  • Experience working in a building controls setting/environment (BMS)
  • Responsible for the design, operation, and implementation of a diverse set of features, processes, paradigms, and technologies that support integration to a cloud-based platform
  • Contribute to architectural definition, technology evaluation and selection, and best practices to consult with engineering teams to build, debug, test, release, manage, and secure a cloud-based or integration solution.
  • Support diagnostics, troubleshooting and operation across various technologies; identify areas for continuous improvement with emphasis on quality, performance, and security.
  • Highly proficient in Network Architecture (routers, switches), Network Configuration, and Protocols, both wired and wireless
  • Highly proficient in communication and data transfer protocols such as MQTT, BACnet, SNMP, HTTP/HTTPS, various Web Services, TLS, etc.)
  • Experience with API and webhook configuration and possible scripting using JavaScript, C++, or AI aided tools

Additional Information

  • Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the USA. No visa sponsoring available.
  • Able to pass Background Checks to obtain Security Clearances is required.
  • While employees may work remotely, the role is organizationally aligned to Kennesaw, GA, and associated with Carrier's corporate headquarters in Palm Beach Gardens, FL.

Pay Range

The annual salary for this position is between $79,000.00 - $158,000.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate. The pay range will not be below the minimum wage applicable to the jurisdiction in which the applicant is to be employed.

Other Compensation

Thisposition may be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
