Job summary

Steampunk, Inc. is seeking an Integration Engineer (Mulesoft) to develop APIs and integrations across diverse systems using the Mulesoft platform. You will work with architects and analysts to translate business needs into secure, scalable solutions.

The role involves documenting current environments, performing gap analyses, and producing actionable options for stakeholders. Strong emphasis on collaboration, mentoring teammates, and delivering robust integration solutions within a DevSecOps

Qualifications

  • Ability to obtain a U.S. government Security Clearance
  • BS Degree in an IT field OR BS in a non-IT field and 2 years related IT experience
  • 3+ years of experience with the Mulesoft platform including AnyPoint Studio, CloudHub 2.0, and MuleSoft v4.x
  • 3+ years of experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • 3+ years of experience with GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket
  • 3+ years of experience with Salesforce integrations and cloud/hybrid integrations

Responsibilities

  • Develop APIs and integrations using the Mulesoft platform across a broad range of software programming tasks to ensure that their systems integrations are functional.
  • Document as‑is state of the environment, perform a gap analysis, and produce artifacts that articulate options and recommendations
  • Create and provide technical documentation that explains upcoming or existing integrations to non‑technical individuals
  • Engineer and implement solutions and provide recommendations for continuous improvement for the services provided
  • Identify technical problems, perform root cause analysis, and develop software updates and ‘fixes’
  • Understanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying this to developers
  • Test and examining code written by others and analyzing results
  • Ensure that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
  • Act as an individual contributor and mentor more junior team members
  • Present regular status updates and provide cross training to other team members.

Job description

As a n Integration Engineer (Mulesoft) , you will work with our growing DevSecOps practice de veloping APIs and integration capabilities using the Mulesoft platform to connect data, services, and systems to help our customers achieve their mission . We are looking for candidates with experience with cloud platform services , understanding business requirements and implement ing complex integrations . Y ou will work with Technical/Solutions Architects and Business Analysts to translate business requirements into well ‐ architected solutions that best leverage the Mulesoft platform.

Contributions

Qualifications
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. government Security Clearance
  • BS Degree in an IT field OR BS in a non - IT field and 2 years related IT experience
  • 3 Years of Experience with the Mulesoft platform to include:
  • AnyPoint Studio
  • Mulesoft CloudHub 2.0
  • MuleSoft versions 4.6 and above
  • 3 Years of Experience with one or more clouds ( i.e. AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • 3 Years of Experience with Git SCM providers such as GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket
  • 3 Years of Experience with one or more programming or scripting languages
  • 3 Years of Experience with Salesforce Integrations
  • 3 Years of Experience with Cloud and Hybrid Integrations
Preferred
  • MS Degree in an IT-related field
  • DOD Tier 3 clearance preferred
  • 3 Y ears of application development experience in an Agile environment
  • Experience with CompTIA network+
  • Experience implementing docker containers and utilizing platforms such as Kubernetes
  • Experience designing, implementing , and documenting APIs
  • Experience utilizing CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Pipelines, CircleCI , TravisCI
  • Experience implementing Automated Testing frameworks to test APIs and integrations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills

Steampunk relies on several factors to determine salary, including but not limited to geographic location, contractual requirements, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $150,000 to $180,000. The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position.
