We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Integration Architect to design, govern, and drive our enterprise integration strategy. In this role, you will be responsible for defining the architectural blueprints, patterns, and roadmaps that connect our diverse ecosystem of internal and external applications.
As a key technical leader, you will champion Event-Driven Architecture (EDA), modern API design, and scalable hybrid-cloud integrations. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product teams, and development leads to ensure our integration solutions are secure, highly scalable, reliable, and perfectly aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Architectural Leadership & Strategy
- Define Enterprise Strategy: Formulate and maintain the enterprise-wide integration strategy, roadmaps, and architectural standards.
- Pattern Definition: Design high-availability, low-latency Integration blueprints focusing on Event-Driven Architecture (EDA), Microservices, and API-led connectivity.
- Technology Evaluation: Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of middleware, ESB, iPaaS platforms, and messaging systems.
- Governance & Standards: Establish and enforce best practices, security frameworks, data governance policies, and design patterns across all integration projects.
System & Integration Design
- End-to-End Design: Create comprehensive architectural designs and interface specifications for complex integrations spanning custom-built .NET Core applications, cloud services, and legacy systems.
- Scalability & Resilience: Ensure all integration architectures meet stringent non-functional requirements (NFRs) such as security, high availability, disaster recovery, performance, and scalability.
- Modern API Ecosystem: Design reusable API frameworks, microservices architectures, and robust API Gateway/management structures.
- Stakeholder Management: Bridge the gap between business requirements and technical delivery, presenting complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Mentorship & Code Quality: Provide technical guidance, leadership, and mentorship to Integration Developers and Lead Engineers. Conduct high-level design reviews and quality audits.
- DevOps & Delivery: Collaborate with DevOps teams to design optimized CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and containerization strategies for integration components.
Technical Skills & Experience
Core Architectures & Patterns
- Event-Driven Architecture (EDA): Deep theoretical and practical expertise in designing event-driven distributed systems, streaming architectures, and pub/sub patterns.
- Distributed Systems Design: Strong understanding of microservices patterns, circuit breakers, CQRS, sagas, and eventual consistency.
- Integration Patterns: Expert knowledge of Enterprise Integration Patterns (EIP) and API security standards (OAuth2, OIDC, TLS, API Keys).
- Development & Frameworks: Strong background in C# and Microsoft .NET/.NET Core (specifically .NET 6/8+).
- Messaging & Streaming Platforms: Hands-on architectural experience with enterprise messaging solutions such as Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, or AWS SNS/SQS.
- iPaaS & Middleware: Proven experience architecting solutions on major integration platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Boomi, Azure Integration Services, IBM Integration Bus, or similar).
- Cloud & Containers: Strong architecture experience in cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) and container orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Databases: Advanced understanding of database design, SQL Server, and NoSQL solutions in a distributed environment.
Qualifications & Experience Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience:
- 14+ years of experience in software development and systems integration.
- 3+ years acting as an Integration Architect or Enterprise Architect in an enterprise-scale environment.
Certifications (Preferred):
- Cloud Architecture certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional).
- Integration Platform Certifications (e.g., MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect, Boomi Certified Integration Developer/Architect).
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to look at the "big picture" and balance short-term tactical deliveries with long-term strategic architectural goals.
- Communication & Influence: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a proven track record of influencing decisions across both technical and business boundaries.
- Problem-Solving: Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve highly complex architectural bottleneck issues.
