Job summary

KBR is seeking an Integration and Test Engineer for the MilSatcom arena, supporting MIT Lincoln Laboratory. The role involves installing and sustaining MIT LL test equipment at contractor facilities, providing SME support in system integration and testing, and coordinating test activities with MIT LL and contractors.

Location is predominantly on-site with up to 10% travel across CONUS. Requires active DoD Secret clearance, a BE degree in EE/CS, and 10+ years of system-level integration

Qualifications

  • Active DoD Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
  • 10+ years of system-level integration experience testing software/hardware.
  • Experience with MILSATCOM systems (MILSTAR, AEHF, EPS, ESS).
  • Familiarity with RF test equipment (O-scope, spectrum analyzer, BER testers).
  • Strong oral and written communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure and operate MIT LL test equipment at contractor facilities.
  • Support contractor integration and testing activities as MIT LL representative.
  • Troubleshoot issues during integration and testing.
  • Provide detailed reports to MIT LL and coordinate resolutions.
  • Perform periodic maintenance on customer equipment at contractor sites.
  • Travel to MIT LL Lexington, MA for internal testing and training; additional CONUS travel.

We are seeking an individual for a position of Integration and Test Engineer in the MilSatcom arena. Position entails supporting our customer’s Government Furnished test equipment to industry contractors. Customer is MIT Lincoln Laboratory (MIT LL). As a representative of MIT LL, you will install, maintain, sustain and train on use of equipment. With use of equipment by contractors, you will provide Subject Matter Expert support in their system integration and testing. Part of tasking will entail supporting technical exchange meetings, test planning, procedure reviews, and providing technical reports to management and our MIT LL customer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, configure and operate MIT LL test equipment at contractor facilities
  • Support contractor integration and testing activities as MIT LL representative

Work Environment
  • Location: Predominantly on-site
  • Travel Requirements: Willing and able to travel (up to 10%, typically CONUS)

Required Qualifications
  • Active DoD Secret clearance
  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineer or Computer Science
  • A minimum of 10 years of Experience in system-level integration of software and hardware components to test and validate system performance with specific experience in MILSATCOM systems
  • Familiarity with one or more of the following: MILSTAR, AEHF, EPS, ESS
  • Knowledge of use of RF equipment; O-scope, spectrum analyzer and bit error testers
  • Good oral and communication skills
  • Outgoing and energetic with the ability to work within a team environment
Desired Qualifications
  • Familiarity with MILSATCOM protocols and procedures
  • Familiarity with JAVA, C, and / or C++
  • Possess strong oral and written communications skills, and must be able to present findings/results to internal and external organizations
Basic Compensation

For CA only, the salary range is approximately $141,300 - $212,000 USD annually. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
