We are seeking a highly hands‑on Test Integration Engineer to join a fast‑moving engineering team developing advanced autonomous systems. This is a deeply technical role focused on hardware bring‑up, system integration, debugging, validation, and field testing across electrical, mechanical, embedded, and software systems.
You’ll work closely with experienced hardware and software engineers to bring complex systems to life, diagnose difficult failures, validate new hardware revisions, and improve overall system reliability.
What You’ll Do
- Integrate electrical subsystems including motors, sensors, cameras, networking, and power systems.
- Perform system bring‑up, debugging, validation, and fault isolation across prototype and production hardware.
- Debug systems spanning Linux‑based computing platforms and STM32‑class embedded systems.
- Use oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and other laboratory instrumentation to diagnose power, signal integrity, timing, and communications issues.
- Develop and execute electrical, communications, and system‑level test procedures.
- Troubleshoot complex hardware/software integration issues and root‑cause failures.
- Support field testing and validation in real‑world operating environments.
- Build and maintain test fixtures, harnesses, and automated test tooling.
- Collaborate closely with electrical, mechanical, firmware, and software engineers to improve system robustness and testability.
- Validate new hardware revisions and verify design changes.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of hands‑on experience with hardware bring‑up, system integration, and test.
- Extensive practical experience with lab instrumentation, particularly oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
- Strong ability to independently diagnose hardware problems using measurement equipment and technical documentation.
- Strong Linux proficiency, including extensive command‑line experience, debugging, system configuration, and development workflows.
- Experience with embedded systems and firmware debugging.
- Familiarity with interfaces such as CAN, Ethernet, RS‑422/485, UART, and I²C.
- Working programming ability in C++ or Python.
- Ability to successfully complete a technical coding assessment in C++ or Python.
- Understanding of hardware/software integration and real‑time system constraints.
- Comfortable working hands‑on in a fast‑paced engineering environment.
You’ll Stand Out If You Have
- Experience with high‑power, motor‑driven, battery‑based, or other complex electrical systems.
- Experience with hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HIL) or system‑level test environments.
- Embedded Linux experience, including Yocto or Ubuntu‑based platforms.
- Experience troubleshooting EMI/EMC or signal‑integrity issues.
- Experience with field testing or operational deployments.
- A demonstrated ability to identify and resolve intermittent or difficult system‑level failures.
- Experience developing test automation, fixtures, or instrumentation interfaces.
- Equity participation
- Health, dental, and vision insurance
- Paid time off
- Highly technical, engineering‑led environment with significant hands‑on responsibility
