Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Integrated Test Engineer to support surface ship availability for MARMC Code 224, leveraging knowledge of JFMM, U.S. Fleet Forces Command, CNRMC, and MARMC directives.

The role focuses on planning, development, and execution of the Integrated Total Ship Test Plan and work certification, coordinating with ship’s force, NSY, and contractors to ensure readiness and compliance with schedule milestones.

Qualifications

  • Five years of technical experience with the installation, operation, repair, testing, and maintenance of naval structure, mechanical, electrical/HME, and C5I systems equipment.
  • Five years of experience with NMD planning, creating work items, and reviewing them.
  • Experience with DoD websites and applications; EDFS, NAVSEA PORTALS.
  • Knowledge of JFMM and Appendix 4E.
  • Experience with Integrated Shipboard Test and Work Certification management and coordination.
  • Experience with reviewing Availability Work Packages (AWPs).
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse workforce.

Responsibilities

  • Approves and provides oversight of the contractor’s development and management of the ITP and coordinates with Project Manager to ensure the ITP reflects the AWP and the integrated production schedule.
  • Review the Authorized Work Package (AWP) and work specifications to ensure maintenance activities tie items to events and milestones.
  • Review work specifications to ensure proper Work to Test Relationships (WTR) for contractor, AITs, FMA, Ship’s Force and NSY work.
  • Review Hull, Mechanical, Electrical, and C5I test procedures before and after testing.
  • Serve as MARMC POC to collect schedule/testing information from AITs, FMA, Ship’s Force and NSY for the ITP.
  • Provide a detailed brief on MARMC work certification processes and roles to the maintenance team and contractors.
  • Coordinate completion of availability certification and signature sheets per JFMM and MARMC guidance.
  • Verify MRl and ERL updates by Lead Maintenance activity and share with teams.
  • Participate in IPTD meetings as SME on Test and Work Certification.
  • Provide debriefs to the ship’s CO/CHENG and draft naval messages when required.

Amentum is looking for an Integrated Test Engineer to provide engineering, technical, structural, mechanical, and electrical support to surface ship availability for MARMC Code 224. The selected candidate should have extensive knowledge of the requirements outlined in JFMM, U.S. Fleet Forces Command, Commander Naval Regional Maintenance Centers (CNRMC), and Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) Directives. Candidate should show proficiency in planning, development, and execution of the oversight of surface ship availability integrated test plans and work certification.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Approves and provides oversight of the contractor’s development and management of the ITP and coordinates with Project Manager to ensure the ITP accurately reflects the AWP and the integrated production schedule.
  • Review the Authorized Work Package (AWP) and work specifications to evaluate and ensure that maintenance activities have properly tied work items to key events and milestones.
  • Review work specifications to ensure appropriate Work to Test Relationships (WTR) have been developed. This includes work scheduled for contractors, AITs, FMA, Ship’s Force and Naval Shipyard (NSY) work as applicable.
  • Review Hull, Mechanical, Electrical, and C5I system test procedures prior to issuance and after completion of testing
  • Act as MARMC primary POC to collect schedule and testing information from all activities including AITs, FMA, Ship’s Force and NSY. Ensure this information is in the Integrated Total Ship Test Plan
  • Provide a detailed brief for members of the execution maintenance team, ship’s force, contractors, and other pertinent parties outlining MARMC RMC work certification process and roles/responsibilities of each signatory.
  • Support the MARMC Chief Engineers and SME for all issues related to technical work certification and key event readiness evaluation and be the project/maintenance team’s work certification SME.
  • Coordinate the completion of the availability completion certification process and signature Sheets in accordance with JFMM and MARMC work test and certification guidance
  • Verify that the availability Master Requirements List (MRL) and Event Readiness List (ERL) are updated by the Lead Maintenance activity (LMA) and provided to the Project/Maintenance Teams
  • Participate in all Integrated Project Team Development (IPTD) meetings (both in advance planning, execution, and post availability) as the team’s subject matter expert on Test and Work Certification
  • Provide written/oral debriefs to the ship ‘s Commanding Officer (CO), CHENG, or other designated personnel. The contractor shall draft naval messages, letters, or other correspondence when require.
Minimum Requirements:
  • A minimum of five (5) years of technical experience with the installation, operation, repair, testing, and maintenance of naval structure, mechanical, electrical/HM&E, and C5I Combat systems equipment.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of working knowledge in NMD planning, creating work items, and reviewing them.
  • Experience in using DoD websites and applications; EDFS, NAVSEA PORTALS
  • Knowledge in JFMM and appendix 4E.
  • Experience with Integrated Shipboard Test and Work Certification management and coordination

General Experience:

Seven (7) years of full-time technical experience in Naval Ship Support.

Compensation Details:

$80,000 -- 93,000
