Ochsner Health Center in Covington, LA seeks an Integrated Care Pediatric Primary Care Clinical Psychologist to join our Northshore location. The ideal candidate holds a Ph.D. or Psy.D.

in Clinical Psychology and is licensed or eligible to practice in Louisiana, with demonstrated work with children and adolescents. The role emphasizes collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, program development, and delivering integrated behavioral health within pediatric primary care.

Qualifications

• Must have Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from an APA-approved program.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in Louisiana.
• Experience working with children and adolescents.
• Experience in integrated care setting preferred.
• Ability to collaborate with other health professionals and assist with program development.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to children, adolescents, and their families within a growing pediatric primary care clinic.
• Accept consult requests from pediatric primary care providers to assist with triaging patient needs and implement brief, solutions-focused follow-up interventions as indicated.
• Recommend appropriate follow-up services and help families navigate access to additional services as indicated, including staying current with pediatric mental and behavioral health services at Ochsner to facilitate referrals.
• Collaborate with clinic staff to create protocols for screening common childhood mental health problems and plan care for at-risk patients.
• Collaborate with clinic staff to delineate a crisis protocol and assist in its implementation.
• Stay informed of research on best practices for integrated care and participate in regional or national workgroups.
