Senior Specialist, Systems Engineering – Integrated Logistics Support (ILS)

Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:45 PM | Some flexibility; every other Friday off
Position Summary
Seeking a Senior ILS / Logistics Systems Engineer to lead integrated logistics and sustainment strategies for complex defense/aerospace programs. This role focuses on Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), sustainment engineering, supportability analysis, maintenance planning, provisioning, and lifecycle cost analysis.

This is not a shipping logistics or supply chain role.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) planning and execution throughout the system lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain ILSP, LCSP, LCCA, LORA, PPL, MTA, SERD, PSA, and LSA documentation.
- Perform supportability, provisioning, sparing, repair-level, maintenance, DMSMS, and sustainment risk analyses.
- Develop organizational, intermediate, and depot-level maintenance and support concepts.
- Analyze lifecycle cost drivers and develop strategies to improve readiness, affordability, maintainability, and supportability.
- Collaborate with systems engineering, design engineering, manufacturing, program management, supply chain, customers, and field support teams.
- Support technical/design/program reviews and provide recommendations on logistics and sustainment risks.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship within the ILS discipline.
- Support customer engagements and communicate sustainment strategies and supportability requirements.
- Travel up to 10% as required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree + 6 years of relevant experience in systems engineering, logistics engineering, sustainment, or ILS; OR
- Graduate degree + 4 years of relevant experience; OR
- 10 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- Strong Integrated Logistics Support / Sustainment Engineering background.
- Experience with complex technical systems, preferably defense, aerospace, or regulated industries.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Active security clearance or ability to obtain required clearance.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Product Support Analysis (PSA) / Logistics Support Analysis (LSA).
- Knowledge of GEIA-STD-0007, MIL-STD-1388-2B, or equivalent standards.
- Experience with tools such as Slicwave, EAGLE, Powerlog, Compass, or CASA.
- Military logistics experience involving maintenance planning, supply support, or sustainment.
- Engineering education and/or military background preferred.
- Experience developing lifecycle sustainment documentation for complex hardware systems.
- Experience with AI tools/techniques to improve engineering analysis and decision-making.
