Job summary

SIGMA Group in Evansville, IN seeks a Mechanical / Design Integration Engineer to deliver fully integrated manufacturing lines using new and used equipment. You will work with sales and customers to meet production goals, focusing on sanitary design, cost estimates, and timely project management.

Ideal candidates have strong mechanical design and equipment integration experience in manufacturing, with a background in food/beverage environments preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in a processing/packaging manufacturing environment.
• Experience with hygienic/sanitary equipment design preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams to meet customer requirements and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Design lines using a mix of new and used equipment within budget.
• Collaborate with sales, automation teams, and OEMs on solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers throughout projects.
• Ensure sanitary design, cleanability, and maintenance considerations.
