Job summary

Applied Materials in Kalispell, MT is seeking a hands-on electro-mechanical technician to perform design, test, checkout, fabrication, modification and troubleshooting of electronics and electro-mechanical systems and prototype models on AMAT platforms.

You will work from schematics and diagrams, maintain logbooks and procedures, follow safety rules, and collaborate with engineering and manufacturing to resolve issues and implement process improvements while supporting a safe, clean work

Responsibilities

• Performs electro-mechanical design, test, fabrication, modification, and troubleshooting of electronics and systems.
• Tests and troubleshoots system level and component level problems in electrical and mechanical systems and sub-systems.
• Works from schematics, diagrams, layouts to perform moderate testing and troubleshooting.
• Compiles logbooks and test procedures documentation and revises procedures.
• May perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic & vacuum and process testing on AMAT platforms.
• Follows safety standards and maintains a safe, clean work environment.
• Becomes familiar with current manufacturing and/or engineering processes and assists in corrections.
• Performs necessary rework and assists in determining remedies for malfunctions.
