Job summary

The Child Center of NY is seeking a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) to join our Integrated Behavioral Health Clinician team. You will deliver evidence-based mental health and substance use treatment to individuals, families, and children in a trauma-informed, person-centered setting.

This hybrid clinical role emphasizes collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, supervision, and ongoing professional development as part of a dense network of NYC services.

Qualifications

• MSW degree required and licensed in New York State or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• Active LMSW license in NYS or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• Experience or strong interest in integrated behavioral health and substance use treatment.
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices, DSM criteria, and trauma-informed care.
• Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct biopsychosocial assessments, intake evaluations, and diagnostic screenings.
• Provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy using evidence-based approaches (e.g., CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, trauma-informed care).
• Develop collaborative, person-centered treatment plans.
• Deliver crisis intervention, safety planning, and stabilization services.
• Coordinate care with schools, hospitals, ACS, primary care providers, and community organizations.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case conferences.
• Maintain timely and compliant clinical documentation in the EHR.
• Participate in supervision, clinical consultation, and ongoing professional development.
