Job summary

Elevance Health is seeking an Intake Specialist for the Lake Mary, FL area in a hybrid role. The position handles incoming member or provider requests, verifies data accuracy, and enters information into our systems with attention to turnaround times.

The ideal candidate has a HS diploma or GED and at least 2 years of related experience, including data entry and comfort with basic office technology and Microsoft Office.

Anticipated End Date: 2026-11-23

Location: Lake Mary, FL

Hybrid 1: This role requires associates to be in-office 1 - 2 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. Alternate locations may be considered if candidates reside within a commuting distance from an office. Please note that per our policy on hybrid/virtual work, candidates not within a reasonable commuting distance from the posting location(s) will not be considered for employment, unless accommodation is granted as required by law.

How you will make an impact

• Receiving member or provider requests by mail or fax
• Reviewing and verifying content for accuracy
• Entering key information or missing data into system
• Routing file/submission to appropriate party within designated turnaround times
• Data Entry experience along with experience in operating basic office equipment, fax machine, copier, PC and basic software applications

Minimum Requirements: Requires HS diploma or GED and a minimum of 2 years related work experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
