Role Overview
As an Intake Specialist at Allied Caregivers, you will be responsible for onboarding our clients by assessing their care needs, explaining agency services, and ensuring a seamless intake experience. This position involves direct communication with clients, families, and caregivers to facilitate the start of non-medical home care services.
Core Responsibilities
- Client Intake & Assessment - Serve as the primary point of contact for new clients and families, conducting initial in-home assessments to understand care needs, preferences, and concerns.
- Intake Documentation & Service Coordination - Complete and maintain required intake paperwork, service agreements, consents, and client records while coordinating with scheduling and care teams to initiate services promptly and match clients with appropriate caregivers.
- Client Communication & Follow-Up - Educate clients and families about agency services, policies, and pricing; address questions and concerns; and follow up after intake to ensure satisfaction and resolve issues.
- Care Observation & Communication - Observe and report safety hazards, changes, concerns, complaints, and other significant client or care-environment observations to appropriate administrative and care-coordination personnel to support continuity and quality of care.
- Confidentiality, Compliance & Professionalism - Maintain client confidentiality and HIPAA compliance, exercise sound judgment and discretion, stay current on applicable care practices, and collaborate professionally with clients, families, caregivers, and agency stakeholders.
You're a great fit if you have the following qualifications
- LNA or CNA experience preferred.
- Comfortable using computers, tablets, and other technology.
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Blood TB Test and Physical.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Capacity to drive at least 1 hour (paid)
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
Employment Type & Availability
- Part-time, PER-DIEM, position.
- Flexible availability throughout the week.
