Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work or related field required.
  • Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or related field preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience with an electronic health record (EHR) system; EPIC experience preferred.
  • Experience in medical/mental health office settings with knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare and commercial health plans.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 suite including Excel, Word, Outlook; familiarity with EHRs (EPIC).
  • HIPAA knowledge and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Register clients and collect demographic information.
  • Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and network status.
  • Complete intake screeners (PHQ-9, GAD, CSSR) and other screeners as appropriate.
  • Process prior authorizations and follow up on billing issues.
  • Maintain client information in Clinic Caseload Excel and HIPAA-compliant records.
