Job summary

Universal Health Services, Inc. seeks an Intake Coordinator for a full-time position at a behavioral health hospital. The role includes responding to inquiries in person or by phone, performing admissions screening, crisis intervention and referrals to hospital staff and outside sources.

Qualifications

• Experience: Previous experience in a clinical department of psychiatric hospital and previous clinical experience with Psychiatric patients of all ages is preferred.

The Intake Coordinator responds to all persons requesting assistance either by telephone or in person, and provides admissions screening, crisis intervention and referrals to Hospital staff and services to outside sources, based on the nature of the problem(s). Admissions to the Hospital are facilitated through coordinated efforts with the Business Office, Utilization Review and the Department of Nursing Services.
