Job summary

Metropolitan Behavioral Health is a growing behavioral health facility that offers inpatient and outpatient services, with a full continuum of care across adolescent, adult and older adult populations. The Intake Clinician role involves initial clinical screening by phone, coordinating with on-call physicians, and scheduling evaluations to determine admission level of care.

Qualifications

• MSW with Michigan LMSW (fully licensed) or Associates in Nursing or BSN with Michigan RN license.
• At least 1 to 3 years of experience providing mental health services, preferably in a psychiatric hospital.

Responsibilities

• The Intake Clinician obtains initial clinical phone information which is communicated to the physician on call to make a final decision regarding admission.
• The Clinician may schedule a clinical evaluation if appropriate for the client and contacts the physician who will make decision for the appropriate level of care: inpatient, day treatment or outpatient care.
• He/she will facilitate this process by assisting the client, family and referral sources.
• Clinician provides information to clients, families and referral sources regarding treatment programs, insurance and admission procedures.

Metropolitan Behavioral Health is a growing 144-bed behavioral health facility that provides a full continuum of inpatient services across the entire patient population, including specialty programs to serve adolescents, adults and older adults, and perform behavioral health assessments 24-hours a day. Additionally, programs for co-occurring behavioral health and substance use issues are offered to meet the unique needs of this patient population. The facility provides a robust outpatient program utilizing a combination of group, family and individual therapy.

Qualifications

Education and License:
