Job summary

Aspen Valley Corp. is seeking an Underwriter to join our Louisville, KY team. This full-time position offers a salary range of $55,000 to $73,311 and involves assessing risks and helping clients secure their future.

You will review applications, assess risks, and guide clients on risk management strategies. Collaboration with internal teams and external partners ensures accurate processing of applications and adherence to underwriting guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of underwriting experience, preferably in the insurance industry.
• Strong knowledge of insurance products, regulations, and risk assessment principles.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software tools.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate insurance applications to determine risk and coverage eligibility
• Review and analyze policy applications, medical records, and other relevant documents to make informed underwriting decisions
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure accurate and timely processing of insurance applications
• Maintain and update underwriting guidelines and standards to reflect industry trends and regulatory changes
• Provide exceptional customer service to clients, answering questions and addressing concerns throughout the underwriting process
