Role overview

We are searching for a dynamic licensed Insurance Sales Representative to join our dedicated Sales team and help potential customers navigate the complexities of home insurance. As a key player in our growth strategy, you will connect with homeowners to deliver expert consultation on their insurance needs. Our Marketing team provides qualified leads, allowing you to focus on closing sales, building relationships, and delivering a great customer experience from the first interaction to closing the deal. On-target earnings (OTE) start at $84,000 with uncapped earnings and performance-based incentives.

What you will do
  • Connect with potential customers via phone, email, and text to understand needs and recommend tailored insurance solutions.
  • Exceed sales targets by building relationships, applying effective sales techniques, and adding value in every interaction.
  • Clearly communicate the benefits of Kin’s insurance offerings and provide exceptional service throughout the process.
  • Leverage company-provided leads to drive sales and consistently follow up to move customers through the funnel.
  • Collaborate with underwriters and customer service to ensure a smooth experience from inquiry to policy issuance.
  • Explain complex insurance options in plain language and guide customers to appropriate coverage for their homes.
Required qualifications
  • At least 6 months of P&C insurance experience in a fast-paced sales environment; homeowners and call center experience are a plus.
  • Active P&C license in your state; prior insurance sales experience is welcome, including non-recent roles if license and CE requirements are maintained.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build trust and relationships.
  • Track record as a closer with negotiation skills and a history of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to adhere to metrics, schedules, and training protocols.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and telephone software; ability to use multiple platforms simultaneously.
  • Bonus: CA licensure and/or Surplus Lines License.
Shift & training
  • Available Monday–Friday for 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM CST.
  • Rotating Saturday shift every 4–6 weeks.
  • Mandatory paid 8+ week training period.
Compensation and benefits

OTE starts at $84,000 with uncapped earnings potential. Base salary is $40,000 with additional bonuses and monthly incentives. In ramp and post-ramp periods, guaranteed earnings are provided to support performance goals. Benefits include: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Disability, EAP, voluntary benefits, and more.
