The Auto Club Group (ACG) is seeking a full-time Insurance Sales professional at the Greenville, SC location to grow a book of business, build client relationships, and drive revenue through coaching and referrals.

The role offers base pay plus commissions, a robust benefits package, and ramp-up support to accelerate earnings as you establish your pipeline and meet performance targets.

Job Description:

Position Schedule / Shift:

Monday - Friday 8:30 am – 6:00 pm (Possible Rotating Saturdays 9:00am - 1:00pm)

Position Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the sale and ongoing service of ACG‑branded and brokered insurance products, memberships, and financial products within a high‑traffic ACG branch; uncover customer needs, generate new business, retain existing clients, grow ACG’s insurance portfolio, overcome objections, negotiate effectively, close sales, and meet or exceed individual sales targets and incentive plan expectations.
• Conduct comprehensive insurance reviews to assess risk, identify coverage gaps, recommend appropriate solutions, and quote, bind, and issue policies in accordance with underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Build and maintain strong rapport with members and clients, respond to inquiries with professionalism and urgency, and support high customer satisfaction, loyalty, and trust in the AAA brand.
• Actively engage in local branch and community events to prospect, expand referral networks, develop new business opportunities, and identify cross‑sell and referral opportunities into Travel and Financial Services to maximize overall member value.

Required Qualifications:

• Active State Property & Casualty Insurance Sales license
• Active State Life and Health Insurance Sales license, or obtain within 90 days of hire
• Must qualify, obtain, and maintain all applicable state licenses and appointments required for selling and/or servicing Auto Club Group Membership products. Obtain Health and Accident licenses and appointments where applicable as deemed necessary and within a time frame established by the Business Unit.
• High School diploma or equivalent
• 1+ year(s) of customer‑facing experience in a fast‑paced computer automated business environment (i.e., financial/banking)
• Insurance experience is helpful—but not required. We provide training to help you get licensed and confident in the role.

• Apply consultative selling techniques supported by deep product knowledge, strong listening skills, and the ability to quickly assess customer needs, identify coverage gaps, recommend appropriate solutions, and deliver tailored value.
• Proven ability to generate new opportunities through referrals, outbound activity, networking, and other business‑development efforts.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer‑first mindset and confidence in guiding sales conversations.
• Proficient in leveraging technology to support sales execution, including CRM platforms and Microsoft Office applications.

Work Environment:

• Work in a temperature controlled AAA branch location
• Ability to work varied hours, including possible weekends
• Some travel to local events may be required.

Compensation & Benefits Overview:

Base pay (non‑exempt) Typical Starting Earnings $55,000 - $70,000+ (First‑year, based on performance). Augmented by ramp‑up support $5,000 processed 30 and 60 days of employment, supplemental pay for six months: $200/week during months 0‑2, $150/week during months 3‑4, $100/week during months 5‑6. Performance Incentives: Elevated commission structure during the first 15 months, New Hire On‑Pace Bonus tied to milestones.

Time Off & Leave:

Paid Time Off (PTO): Accrual‑based, increases with tenure, eligible at 90 days of employment. Full‑time new employees will receive up to 12 PTO days annually; accrual based on start date and may include additional PTO based on role and/or state & local requirements. Part‑time employee PTO hours are calculated based upon the standard weekly hours the employee is scheduled to work and will accrue at a minimum of 3 hours per month. Paid Holidays: Full‑time employees are eligible for 10 company‑paid holidays annually, in addition to 1 mental health day, 2 floating holidays and 1 volunteer day. Holidays vary by business unit schedules. Part‑time employees are eligible for 8 company‑paid holidays annually, in addition to 1 mental health day and 2 floating holidays. Holidays vary by business unit schedules. Paid leave programs, including parental, bereavement, jury duty, and military leave.
