Job summary

ALPA Insurance in Texas is seeking a results-driven Insurance Sales Agent to join our in-office team. You will help customers with new policies, edits, renewals, and payments while building a loyal client base.

We offer comprehensive benefits, paid training, and licensing assistance; and we provide an uncapped commission structure with weekly pay to reward performance. Bilingual applicants are welcome.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Customer Service/Insurance Sales experience preferred but not required.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred but not required.
• Hold a valid Limited Lines or Property & Casualty license in Texas (highly preferred, but not required).
• Must have reliable transportation for daily marketing.
• Basic computer knowledge and strong written, verbal, and people skills.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision and learn company software.
• Continuing education courses provided (paid by ALPA) to maintain active license.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with new policies, edits, payments, renewals, and questions.
• Inspect vehicles to assess insurance risk and eligibility.
• Generate leads, market, and develop clientele with office support.
• Perform administrative tasks and handle policy renewals and underwriting communications.
• Assist with daily housekeeping routines.

Position Summary

The ideal candidate for this position will possess a strong sales mentality, desire to succeed, and good organizational/interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus. This is an IN-OFFICE position.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist customers with various types of insurance needs such as new policies, editing existing policies, taking payments, renewing and reinstating policies, and answering all questions.
• Inspect vehicles, examining general condition, age, and other characteristics, to decide if it is an acceptable insurance risk.
• Seek out new clients, generate lists of prospective clients, and develop clientele by networking and marketing. You and your office manager will develop marketing strategies to attract new customers.
• Perform administrative tasks, as well as handling policy renewals and contacting underwriting to complete policies.
• Assist with daily housekeeping routines

Position Qualifications

• Complete continuing education courses (Paid for by ALPA) as required to maintain active license status with TDI.
