Job summary

Mercer invites applications for a Senior Portfolio Manager in US Insurance, reporting to the Office of the CIO. You will lead multi-asset portfolios with emphasis on fixed income and private markets, ensuring alignment with insurance liabilities and regulatory requirements across Boston, New York, and Chicago.

You will collaborate with leadership and consultants, oversee investment solutions, and represent Mercer in committees and client meetings.

Qualifications

Insurance investor requirements and liability-driven investment principles understanding.
Capability to align portfolios with liability profiles while managing yields and risk.
Expertise in private markets and fixed income investing.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with independent thinking.
Excellent communication to present topics to clients and stakeholders.
Proven leadership and ability to influence across Mercer/Marsh teams.
Hybrid work schedule with three in-person days per week.

Responsibilities

Integrate into a multi-asset portfolio management team overseeing US assets.
Collaborate with insurance leadership and consultants on client discussions.
Serve on the US Insurance Investment Committee for design of solutions.
Lead day-to-day investment management with governance and processes across teams.
Oversee manager research and asset manager oversight for client portfolios.
Present markets, portfolios and performance to clients and committees.
Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to thought leadership.
