Securian Financial Group is seeking a Financial Reporting Consultant to lead the financial reporting of reinsurance and product accounting across statutory, GAAP, and Bermuda bases. The role partners with finance, actuarial, and business teams to deliver accurate reporting, meaningful insights, and strong governance.

Qualifications

• Accounting experience with exposure to statutory, management-based, tax and GAAP for financial reporting and budgeting.
• Bachelor’s degree (Accounting/Finance/Math preferred).
• Demonstrated analytical skills to review and analyze financial statements.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Accounting & Financial Reporting: Determine accounting treatment for products and reinsurance structures across statutory, GAAP, and Bermuda bases; prepare journal entries and supporting schedules for monthly/quarterly reporting.
• Financial Analysis & Planning: Analyze financial results and key drivers across products and entities; provide insights on profitability and capital efficiency.
• Audit, Governance & Process Improvement: Support audits/regulatory reviews; maintain controls and accounting governance; drive process improvements.
