RadNet is seeking an Insurance Eligibility Specialist to verify patient insurance, enter data into the RIS, and support access to care across our network of imaging centers.

You will work with patients, providers, payors, and regulators to ensure accurate information, timely processing, and professional service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must have one of the following: a high school diploma or GED, at least 3 to 6 months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent customer service and written/verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and organized; able to interact effectively with doctors, staff, patients, vendors, and management.

Responsibilities

• Ensures accurate, timely documentation and completion of tasks according to standards.
• Performs data entry into the RIS system for each patient.
• Obtains patient information on insurance eligibility via phone and website solutions.
• Interacts with patients to obtain complete insurance information and explains eligibility results.
• Analyzes payer eligibility responses to gather information needed for verifications.
• Maintains HIPAA, privacy, and confidentiality standards.

When you join us as an Insurance Eligibility Specialist, you will be joining a dedicated team of professionals who deliver quality, value, and access in the 21 st century and align all stakeholders- patients, providers, payors, and regulators to achieve the best clinical outcomes.

You Will

• Ensures accurate, timely, and thorough documentation and completion of all necessary tasks according to established standards.
• Ensures accurate and timely data entry into the RIS system for each patient, according to established standards.
• Utilizes telephone voice response systems and website solutions to obtain information on patients' eligibility status with insurance companies.
• Works with patients to obtain complete and correct insurance information, discusses eligibility results and alternative payment methods.
• Properly analyzes various payer eligibility responses to find the information needed to complete verifications.
• Follows all HIPAA, compliance, privacy and confidentiality standards.
• Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.
• Demonstrates professionalism and courtesy to patients, families/guests and other team members.
• Communicates clearly and effectively.
• Communicates with vendors, patients, referring physicians, co-workers and all team members in a courteous and professional manner.
• Provides thorough and accurate information to all callers.
• Maintains self-control when dealing with difficult patients and/or situations. Involves manager or team leader when necessary.
• Scans all applicable paperwork into eRad RIS.
• Promotes a positive and supportive relationship with referring community and fellow employees.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have

• Must have one of the following: a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), at least 3 to 6 months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Possess and utilizes excellent customer service skills, strong public relations skills, and exceptional written and verbal communications skills.
• Must be detail-oriented and organized, possess clerical skills, and have the ability to interact effectively with doctors, referring doctors and staff, patients, vendors, peers, and management.
