GEICO is seeking an experiencedAttorney to defend lawsuits in Texas courts for GEICO Staff Counsel in Dallas. The role requires courtroom litigation skills and a focus on insurance defense, with duties spanning research, brief writing, and pre-trial preparation.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of relevant litigation experience, a Juris Doctor, Texas Bar admission, and the ability to travel for trials, hearings, and depositions as needed. Hybrid work arrangements are available.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of litigation experience in insurance/defense/personal injury.
• Juris Doctor degree required.
• Active Texas Bar license in good standing.
• Ability to travel for trials, hearings and depositions.

Responsabilités

• Researching laws and preparing briefs, opinions and memoranda.
• Rendering liability, damages and value opinions for Claims.
• Preparing pleadings, motions and discovery; handling depositions and trials.
