Trueline Talent’s client, an established Michigan litigation firm, seeks an Insurance Defense Associate Attorney in Farmington Hills, MI. You’ll manage your own caseload of no-fault and insurance defense matters from intake through resolution, with a base salary of $140,000-$170,000 and quarterly bonuses that bring total compensation near $200,000 for strong performers.

Qualifications

• About 3-7 years of litigation experience required.
• Michigan no-fault experience preferred.
• Ability to independently manage a full caseload.
• Strong deposition, discovery and motion practice skills.
• Courtroom readiness and willingness to try a case.

Responsibilities

• Manage your own caseload of insurance defense matters from intake to resolution.
• Defend no-fault claims and other insurance defense matters, including SIU cases.
• Take and defend depositions and manage written discovery.
• Draft and argue motions, including dispositive motions.
• Evaluate cases and report strategy and exposure to clients and adjusters.
• Negotiate settlements and represent clients in case evaluations and mediations.
• Prepare cases for trial and try cases when needed.
• Develop relationships with adjusters and carrier clients to grow referrals.
