Job summary

W3Global is seeking an Insurance Coverage Attorney for our Woodland Hills office to advise clients on commercial and personal lines coverage matters and, when needed, represent clients in coverage litigation.

Candidates with a portable book of business are preferred but not required. This role involves analyzing policies across multiple jurisdictions and handling complex litigation and related client matters with a collaborative team.

Qualifications

  • J.D. from ABA- or California-accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the State Bar of California.
  • Experience in insurance coverage analysis and policy interpretation.
  • Experience in insurance coverage litigation or related civil litigation.
  • Multi-jurisdictional legal analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze insurance policies and evaluate coverage issues across multiple lines (Commercial General Liability, Commercial Umbrella, Commercial Auto, Homeowners, Personal Auto, Personal Umbrella).
  • Prepare coverage opinions and reservation of rights, denial, and other coverage position letters.
  • Interpret policy language and applicable law across jurisdictions; research complex coverage issues.
  • Represent insurers in insurance coverage litigation and manage matters through pleadings, discovery, motions, mediation, trial, and appeal as applicable.
  • Develop client relationships and communicate analyses and strategic recommendations clearly.
