Job summary

The San Diego office of Lewis Brisbois, a full-service AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking an attorney to join its Insurance Coverage Practice. The ideal candidate will have 1–7 years of experience analyzing insurance coverage and preparing coverage opinions for first party property and general liability matters, with litigation experience including depositions, court hearings, and motion practice.

California Bar admission is required.

Qualifications

• 1–7 years of experience analyzing insurance coverage and preparing coverage opinions for first party property and general liability matters.
• Litigation experience including taking depositions, attending court hearings, and drafting and arguing motions.
• Strong research and writing skills required.
• Admission to the California Bar is required.

Responsibilities

• Interpret contracts and represent insurers in complex coverage claims, including monitoring, mediations, arbitrations, and declaratory relief litigation.
• Perform litigation tasks such as taking depositions, attending hearings, drafting and arguing motions.
