Job summary

The Miami, FL office of Lewis Brisbois, a full-service AmLaw 100 firm, is actively seeking an attorney to join its Insurance Coverage Practice. The ideal candidate has 2–7 years of experience analyzing insurance coverage and preparing coverage opinions for first party property and general liability matters, with litigation experience including depositions, hearings, and motions.

Florida Bar admission is required.

Qualifications

• 2–7 years of experience analyzing insurance coverage and preparing coverage opinions for first party property and general liability matters.
• Litigation experience including taking depositions, attending court hearings, and drafting and arguing motions.
• Federal court experience is required; admission to the Florida Bar is required.
• Interest in joining a growing, collaborative firm with opportunities in insurance law.

Responsibilities

• Analyze insurance coverage and prepare coverage opinions for first party property and general liability matters.
• Represent insurers in complex coverage claims; monitor mediations, arbitrations, and declaratory relief litigation in state and federal courts.
• Handle depositions, motions, and court appearances as part of coverage litigation.
• Collaborate with the Insurance Coverage Practice to service primary and excess insurers, reinsurers, and related entities.
