We are seeking an Insurance Counsel (Property & Casualty) to join our Insurance and Financial Services team. This role centers on P&C product development, claims processing, and insurance/reinsurance deal execution. We are looking for a hands-on attorney with a proven track record in launching P&C products, navigating multi-state regulatory requirements, and advising on claims-related matters. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience across the insurance product lifecycle - from development and filing to market launch - along with strong transactional and compliance capabilities in bothinsurance and reinsurance.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Mid-level attorney with 8-14 years of experience in insurance law with a primary focus on Property & Casualty (not life or annuity).
• Hands-on experience with P&C product development and market launches.
• Strong knowledge of state-by-state P&C regulations and experience conducting multi-state surveys or analyzing new product requirements.
• Experience with claims processing and reinsurance transactions.
• Juris Doctor degree (or equivalent) and licensed to practice law in a U.S. jurisdiction.

Preferred Skills

• Prior in-house experience with an insurance carrier or reinsurer.
• Familiarity with reinsurance deal execution and claims litigation.
• Ability to work effectively in project-based, fast-paced environments.

Compensation

The estimated total compensation for full-time Axiom attorney roles is $104,500-325,000 per year and for non-attorney roles is $71,250-309,750 per year. Compensation decisions are based on various factors, including, but not limited to, experience, skills, certifications, location, and business needs.
