Placements24 is seeking an Insurance Claims Investigator for a field-based role in Upington. You will conduct investigations into suspicious or complex insurance claims, interview claimants and witnesses, collect evidence, and prepare detailed reports to support claims decisions.

This position requires strong investigative skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to integrity and professionalism. A company vehicle and benefits are provided as part of the role.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a thorough and discreet Insurance Claims Investigator to join their team in Upington . This role is responsible for investigating suspicious or complex insurance claims to determine their validity and identify any instances of fraud. You will conduct interviews, gather evidence, analyze documentation, and prepare detailed reports to support claims decisions. This field-based position requires strong investigative skills and the ability to work independently within the Upington and surrounding areas, operating from a designated office base.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough investigations into suspicious or potentially fraudulent insurance claims across various lines of business.
• Interview claimants, witnesses, and other relevant parties to gather information and statements.
• Collect and analyze evidence, including documentation, physical evidence, and digital records.
• Prepare detailed, objective, and comprehensive investigation reports, including findings and recommendations.
• Liaise with law enforcement agencies, legal counsel, and other external parties as required.
• Ensure all investigative activities comply with legal requirements, company policies, and ethical standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience in claims investigation, fraud detection, or a related law enforcement/investigative field.
• Strong understanding of investigative techniques, evidence collection, and reporting procedures.
• Excellent interviewing, observational, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively in a field-based role.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle for travel.
• High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism.
