Qualifications

• 3–6 years in a medical business office or related field.
• Experience with claims adjudication for multiple government agencies and private insurers.
• Current CPT and ICD-10 coding experience.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Follows up on open claims per established guidelines and reviews for completeness and compliance.
• Works to resolution disputes and appeals of third-party denials and contests underpayments.
• Enters insurance information into the billing system and updates registration information as needed.
• Cross-trains in all areas of the Insurance Department and supports onboarding of new staff.
