Job summary

RT Specialty, a division of Ryan Specialty, seeks a Binding Operations Associate to manage the binding process, ensuring policies comply with underwriting guidelines and regulations. You will input data, coordinate with underwriters and brokers, and assist with quotes and endorsements.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in the insurance industry or binding underwriting.
• Exposure to Excess & Surplus (E&S) lines is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist binding of insurance policies in compliance with underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Input data into underwriting applications for accurate rating, documentation, and issuance.
• Coordinate with underwriters and brokers, respond to inquiries, and prepare revised quotes as needed.
• Support new business submissions under direction of Binding Underwriter to prepare and market to carriers.
• Prepare and process policy endorsements, changes to coverage, and track renewals and cancellations.
• Maintain organized records of binding transactions and client information.
• Communicate with clients to explain policy terms and gather required information.
• Back up underwriters and underwriting assistants when they are unavailable.
• Generate reports on binding metrics and compliance for process improvements.
