Job summary

Concord Counseling Services is seeking an experienced Insurance & Billing Specialist to support billing and revenue cycle operations in our Westerville office. You will process insurance claims, post payments, maintain client insurance data, and assist with credentialing and payer enrollment.

The ideal candidate will have healthcare billing experience, strong attention to detail, and knowledge of third‑party payer requirements, preferably within behavioral health or community mental health

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of healthcare billing, claims processing, or revenue cycle experience.
• Experience with EMR systems and healthcare billing software.
• Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and third‑party payer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, submit, and follow up on insurance claims to commercial, government, and third‑party payers.
• Review claims and assist with correction and resubmission of denied or rejected claims.
• Post payments, adjustments, and contractual write‑offs accurately and timely.
• Reconcile client accounts and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Establish and maintain payer information within the EMR system.
• Ensure accurate setup and maintenance of client insurance information.
• Generate client billing statements and respond to client inquiries.
• Assist clients with questions regarding coverage, balances, and payment arrangements.
• Coordinate credentialing activities for clinical staff and payer enrollment.
• Maintain accurate billing, credentialing, and reimbursement records.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and applicable regulations.

Position Summary

This position is responsible for processing insurance claims, posting payments, maintaining accurate insurance information, assisting with credentialing activities, and supporting client billing inquiries. Qualifications for Success

• Three to five years of experience in healthcare billing, insurance claims processing, medical accounts receivable, or revenue cycle management.
• Experience working with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and healthcare billing software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance, and third-party payer requirements.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
