Qualifications

• Working knowledge of financial accounting and state regulations where business is conducted.
• Proficient in Microsoft Windows environment, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher; able to create, edit, merge documents.
• Proficient in Vertafore AMS360 products.
• Proficient with office equipment (copy machines, printers, faxes, etc.).
• 2+ years experience in accounts payable in the insurance industry.

Responsibilities

• Collect, transact, reconcile and record insurance carrier commissions statements and payments.
• Analyze, identify and record unearned commissions.
• Review, research and resolve commissions not transacted and in open activities.
• Leverage software automation for process efficiencies.
• Analyze trends to become a subject matter expert with carrier partners.
• Collaborate with profit centers to resolve billing errors.
• Build courteous relationships with carriers and profit centers to maintain efficient practice.
• Participate in training opportunities and ongoing professional development.
