Nemours Children's Health in Orlando, Florida, is seeking an Insurance Authorization Coordinator I (Finance) to join our team. This full-time role focuses on obtaining authorizations for hospital- and physician-based services and ensuring accurate patient financial responsibility.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months to two (2) years of authorization experience.
• Knowledge of CPT, ICD 10 codes and basic medical terminology.
• Knowledge of, but not limited to, Epic Applications.
• Knowledge of, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Request and obtain preauthorization for assigned specialties and cover for other workflows.
• Ensure requests for authorizations and notifications are worked timely per policy and payer requirements.
• Verify patients' insurance coverage, eligibility, demographics, benefits and financial responsibility.
