Job summary

Goldman Sachs Asset Management is seeking a driven associate to support the Insurance Asset Management coverage team for the Americas. You will partner with investment and strategy teams across public and private markets to manage, enhance, and develop client relationships.

The role involves coordinating with Portfolio Managers, Product Managers, Legal, Technology, Operations and Compliance to meet client needs in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and strong academic background.
• Previous experience in asset management or related field is a plus
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and excellent follow-through
• Ability to grasp problems described by clients, articulate the problems clearly and analyze
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Strong interpersonal skills: build trust and collaborate
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment
• Strong you know MS Office proficiency
• Investment Management Certificate required, or obtained within 3 months of joining

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of strategic plans for prospects and clients, outlining a service plan and cross-selling opportunities
• Ensure clients’ needs are met by fulfilling bespoke and recurring requests and coordinating with senior Client Relationship Managers
• Coordinate prospect pitches, product presentations, and requests for proposals
• Identify and elevate sensitive client issues to senior team members and coordinate timely responses
• Coordinate with stakeholders across Asset Management to meet clients’ needs
