Job summary

Universal Health Services (UHS) is seeking a denials and appeals analyst to monitor insurance denials and document outcomes in MS4 and MIDAS. You will coordinate with HIM, providers, and facility clinicians to assemble complete appeal packages and ensure timely notification to members and providers.

Success requires strong analytical and leadership skills, ability to manage multiple facilities, and meticulous reporting to supervisors.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Solid clinical background in behavioral health or related field.
• Familiarity with utilization process with health plans.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office for word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor insurance denials by running relevant reports and document appeal results in MS4 and MIDAS.
• Oversee staff handling post-discharge provider authorization disputes and related take-backs.
• Collaborate with HIM and facility clinicians to obtain missing information for strong appeal cases.
• Maintain accurate reporting documentation for staff and supervisors.
