HUB International in Providence, RI is seeking an Insurance Accounting Associate for a hybrid full-time role. The position involves reconciling commissions, preparing daily and monthly statements, and maintaining carrier schedules.

You will interact with agents and accounts, perform AP tasks as needed, and support ongoing projects. The ideal candidate may hold a college degree in accounting or finance and 1–3 years of office experience; life insurance experience is a plus.

• 1–3 years’ experience in an office environment; life insurance experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic data analysis.
• Strong numerical and data-entry abilities and attention to detail.

Responsabilidades

• Reconcile carrier commissions by analyzing statements and calculating payments.
• Maintain up-to-date commission schedules with carriers and update internal schedules.
• Prepare daily commission statements from carrier websites and monthly reports for key accounts.
• Process outgoing commission statements for agents, agencies, and broker-dealers; assist AP as needed.
• Handle inquiries via phone and email from agents and accounts; research issues and implement changes with carriers.
• Support additional tasks and participate in projects as assigned.

Your ambition has a home here **Position Type/Expected Hours of Work****This is a hybrid full-time position on our Providence, RI** office with a minimum of three days in the office. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 p.m., with a 30-minute unpaid break for lunch and two paid 15-minute breaks.**Duties include but may not be limited to the following:*** Reconcile commission payments- Entering and analyzing carrier commission statements to determine outgoing payments due, as well as troubleshooting within our commissions system for commissions calculating incorrectly.* Maintenance of commission schedules- Working closely with each of our carriers to obtain the most up- to-date commission schedules, reviewing schedules for changes, noting changes, and updating internal schedules as well as all national account schedules.* Prepare daily commission statements- Download and prepare daily commission statements from the carrier websites.* Prepare outgoing commission statements for agents, agencies, and broker-dealers* Prepare monthly reports for key accounts* Manage customer inquiries- Handle phone calls and emails from our agents and accounts to answer questions, research issues, and process changes with our insurance carriers.* AP as needed* Support additional tasks and participate in projects as assigned.**Skills/Key Competencies*** Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook* Ability to analyze numerical relationships* Able to multitask, prioritize workflow, and understand urgency* Must have attention to detail, is highly organized, and understand its importance* Is comfortable with technology.
