Qualifications

• Previous insulation experience preferred.
• Knowledge of pipe insulation, duct insulation, mechanical equipment insulation, and protective jacketing is beneficial.
• Ability to measure accurately and use hand tools and power tools safely.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Reliable attendance and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn new skills and follow established work procedures.
• Ability to travel to project locations as needed.
• Willingness to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, fit, and install insulation materials according to project specifications.
• Install insulation on piping, ductwork, mechanical equipment, and other designated systems.
• Install protective jacketing, including PVC and metal jacketing, as required.
• Read and follow construction drawings, specifications, and supervisor instructions.
• Safely use hand tools, power tools, and insulation equipment.
• Inspect completed work to ensure proper coverage, fit, and quality.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow company safety policies, jobsite requirements, and applicable OSHA standards.
• Coordinate with supervisors and other trades to complete work efficiently and on schedule.
• Travel to project sites as required.

Travel outside of Sioux Falls community is not required but would provide applicants with additional overtime opportunities.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work in various jobsite conditions.

• Ability to work from ladders, lifts, or scaffolding when required and properly authorized.

Compensation and Benefits
