Job summary

Rentokil North America is seeking an Insulation Technician to remove old insulation and install new tap insulation products in attics and crawlspaces. You will assist with wildlife exclusion services and work in tight spaces, climbing ladders and navigating crawl spaces.

The role requires construction experience, strong attention to detail, and customer service skills to interact with clients and coordinate with the team. A valid driver’s license is needed to operate service vehicles.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 6 months related construction experience.
• Ability to set live traps.
• Previous ladder and/or harness work experience.
• Understand different construction types.
• At least 2 years of customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs exclusion services and animal removal for residential and commercial customers, including inspections, trapping, baiting, light carpentry, roof work, crawl space vapor barrier installation, crawl space insulation removal & installation, crawl space debris removal, and attic disinfections.
• Inspect properties for wildlife and rodent damage and recommend solutions.
• Build internal and external relationships and maintain service vehicle/equipment.

What do our Insulation Technicians do?

Our Insulation Technicians are responsible for removing old insulation after wildlife exclusions services are completed, and installing new tap insulation products. You will be working in areas such as attics and crawlspaces. Other job responsibilities can include assisting with wildlife removal and exclusion service.

• Performs exclusion services and animal removal for residential and commercial customers which includes inspections, trapping, baiting, light carpentry work, working at roof top levels, crawl space vapor barrier installation, crawl space insulation removal & installation, crawl space debris removal., and crawl space and attic disinfections


• Inspect properties for wildlife and rodent damage and make recommendations on solutions to remedy the problem


• Build internal and external relationships


• Operate and maintain service vehicle and equipment

What do you need?

• High school diploma or GED


• 6 months related construction experience


• Ability to set live traps


• Previous ladder and/or harness work experience


• Have a good understanding of different construction types


• At least 2 years of customer service experience


• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn


• Organized


• Punctual


• Ability to lead others


• Must be able to pull a 7x14 enclosed trailer


• Available to work Monday-Friday and Saturdays as needed


• Ability to obtain and maintain licenses/certificates as required by federal, state and local regulations


• Must possess a valid driver’s license from state of residence
