Job description

MAP Building Specialties is seeking dependable, motivated Insulation Installers to join our team. We are part of the Installed Building Products (IBP) family of companies, a nationwide leader in residential and commercial insulation and building solutions. This is a hands‑on role offering steady, year‑round work, skill development, and long‑term career opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install a variety of insulation materials including fiberglass batts, blown‑in insulation, spray foam, and rigid board insulation.
  • Measure, cut, and properly fit insulation to meet project specifications.
  • Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment to job sites.
  • Operate insulation equipment, power tools, and hand tools safely and efficiently.
  • Work in attics, crawl spaces, walls, and other confined or elevated areas.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times.
  • Follow OSHA regulations and all company safety procedures.
  • Work closely with crew members and supervisors to complete projects on time and at a high‑quality standard.
  • Represent MAP Building Specialties professionally when interacting with customers, builders, and contractors.
Qualifications
  • Construction or insulation experience is preferred but not required — we are willing to train the right motivated candidates.
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding work in various environments.
  • Comfortable working in tight spaces, heights, and varying weather conditions.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license preferred.
  • Strong work ethic, dependability, and willingness to learn and improve.
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
Physical Demands

As an insulation installer, you will face physical demands such as lifting heavy materials, bending and stooping in tight spaces, and climbing ladders or scaffolding for high work. You must stretch and reach overhead, handle tools with dexterity, and endure long hours of repetitive movements. The work is often performed in challenging environments, such as extreme temperatures or dusty areas. Installers also need balance and stability in confined or unstable spaces and may experience strain from pushing and pulling heavy loads or performing repetitive tasks. Strength, endurance, and flexibility are required to prevent injury. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.

Compensation & Growth
  • Starting pay of $18.00–$20.00 per hour, depending on experience.
  • Production‑based incentive pay allows employees to increase earnings based on performance and productivity.
  • Opportunity for consistent overtime and increased earning potential.
  • Career advancement opportunities within MAP Building Specialties and the Installed Building Products (IBP) network.
