Job summary

Builders Installed Products Albany is seeking an insulation installer to work full-time installing fiberglass or rock wool batt insulation in exterior walls and ceilings. You will operate hand tools, cut materials, and install with care in attics and crawlspaces.

Pay is $20–$25 per hour depending on experience, with potential for higher income with strong production. The job may involve driving a company vehicle and requires safety awareness and physical stamina.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
• Installation experience is a plus.
• Comfortable using standard hand tools.
• Able to work in tight spaces, including attics and crawlspaces.
• Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Able to climb ladders and scaffolding.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Load and log materials onto a truck.
• Erect scaffolding or ladders as needed.
• Cut insulation and install in frames, ceilings, attics, or crawlspaces.
• Install insulation using staples, glue, wiring, nails, or loose-fill foams.
• May drive a company vehicle and follow DOT rules.
• Observe safety rules and know MSDS locations.

Job description

Full-time | Steady work | Room to move up | Earn $20–$25/hr (DOE) — plus even higher income with strong production!

As aninsulation installer, you will focus on installing insulation (fiberglass or rock wool batts) forexterior walls and ceilings. Your day-to-day "office" won't always look the same! However, you can count on the process to provide some consistency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Loading and logging materials onto a truck
• Erect scaffolding or ladders to the height needed
• Cut the insulation materials to size and install them in frames, ceilings, attics, or crawlspaces
• Installing insulation materials by stapling, gluing, wiring, nailing, or operating equipment that injects loose-fill or foamed insulation
• May be required to drive a company vehicle. If so, follow all driving rules and DOT requirements at all times and maintain your tools/truck
• Observe job site safety rules and know the location of the MSDS packets in your vehicle

Role Requirements:

• Valid driver's license andreliable transportation
• Installation experience is a plus

• Able to lift a minimum of 50lbs
• Able to climb ladders and scaffolding
• Able to bend, twist, and turn the body at the shoulders, waist, and knees

• Being Bilingual is a plus!

Physical demands:

As an insulation installer, you will face physical demands such as lifting heavy materials, bending and stooping in tight spaces, and climbing ladders or scaffolding for high work. You must stretch and reach overhead, handle tools with dexterity, and endure long hours of repetitive movements. The work is often performed in challenging environments, such as extreme temperatures or dusty areas. Installers also need balance and stability in confined or unstable spaces and may experience strain from pushing and pulling heavy loads or performing repetitive tasks. Strength, endurance, and flexibility are required to prevent injury. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.
