LOCATION: 168 Third Ave Waltham, MA 02451

TITLE: Instruments Sales Representative III

HOURS: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

DUTIES:

1. Support the Genetic Analysis portfolio, delivering high-value genomic data to aid crucial decisions in research and applied markets, including Quantitative PCR, Sanger Sequencing, Digital PCR, Human Identification, Microarray, and AgriGenomics.
2. Pursue new sales opportunities by establishing strong business relationships with current and potential clients.
3. Meet and exceed sales forecasts within the assigned geographic territory.
4. Lead a specialist team to surpass sales goals for capital instruments and reagents.
5. Collaborate with customers to drive instrument sales within the New York City territory.
6. Contribute to profits by selling qPCR, CE, and dPCR instruments to researchers.

TRAVEL: Up to 50% domestic and international travel required. This position reports to the company headquarters in Waltham, MA, and can be performed remotely or via telecommuting.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related field.
• At least 2 years of experience as a Genetic Sciences Inside Sales Specialist, Field Applications Scientist, or related occupation.
• Knowledge of sales processes including forecasting, pipeline management, and sales tracking using Salesforce and other IT tools.
• Experience with capital sales and understanding of scientific projects and customer business needs to position GA solutions (qPCR, Digital PCR, sequencing, microarray) effectively.
• Selling experience in industrial and federal government accounts.
