Job summary

iWorkforce Solutions LP is looking for skilled Instrumentation Tubing Technicians to support a 3-4 month project in Houston, Texas. Candidates must be able to measure, cut, bend, and install Swagelok stainless steel tubing and have experience with Hydraulic Power Units. The ideal applicant has 2–3 years of Oil & Gas industry exposure and familiarity with tools typical in surface/land equipment operations.

Flexible work shifts covering both day and night are required, along with compliance in identity verification per federal law upon hire. Ideal candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED.

• Direct experience with Hydraulic Power Units and ability to read hydraulic schematics.

Job description

Project Duration: Approximately 3–4 months

Location: On-site

Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred

Shift Flexibility: Day and Night shifts available. Ideal candidates should be flexible to work either shift, as exact start and end times may fluctuate based on parts delivery.

• Day Shift: 5:00 AM – 5:30 PM (30-minute lunch)
• Night Shift: 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM (30-minute lunch)

Interview Note: An on-site bend test is required during the interview process. Candidates do not need to bring their own tools. (Former workers do not need to be retested).

Position Overview

We are seeking skilled and detail-oriented Instrumentation Tubing Technicians to support a 3-to-4-month project. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, measuring, cutting, bending, and installing high-quality Swagelok stainless steel tubing and cable tray support systems. The ideal candidate has strong hydraulic schematic literacy, hands-on experience with Hydraulic Power Units (HPUs), and a proven track record of error-free craftsmanship.

Required Skills & Experience

To be considered, candidates must clearly display the following experience on their resumes:

• Instrumentation & Tubing: Proven experience fitting, cutting, and bending Swagelok stainless steel tubing ranging from 1/4-inch to 1-inch without errors.
• Hydraulics: Direct experience working with Hydraulic Power Units (HPUs) and the ability to accurately read and interpret hydraulic schematics.
• Industry Experience: 2–3 years of experience in the Oil & Gas sector is highly preferred.
• Equipment Familiarity: Previous experience with surface/land equipment and HPUs from major oilfield services providers (e.g., Cameron, Schlumberger, NOV) is strongly preferred.

Primary Responsibilities

• Plan equipment layout and installation according to engineering drawings, blueprints, sketches, and manuals.
• Measure, thread, cut, and assemble cable trays and cable tray support systems; install tubing and clamps securely into tray systems.
• Measure, cut, bend, thread, and install high-pressure tubing and piping.
• Plan and coordinate daily tasks efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Adhere strictly to all company Quality and HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) policies and procedures.

Facility-Specific Duties

• Safely utilize a variety of hand, hydraulic, and power tools.
• Drill and tap holes in structures to attach brackets and guards per assembly drawings.
• Operate facility equipment as needed (e.g., manlifts, scissor lifts, overhead cranes, band saws, hose cutting/crimping devices, pressure pumps).
• Inspect, maintain, and care for assigned tools.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment in alignment with 6S guidelines.

Physical Requirements & Environment

• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Comfortable working at heights up to 65 feet.
• Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods throughout a 12-hour shift.
• Capable of working comfortably in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing/shop environment.
