Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a calibration technician to support water treatment projects. The role involves calibrating process controls on water processing and distribution equipment, performing analyses, and diagnosing repairs to ensure compliance with federal and local standards.

The position requires a High School diploma or equivalent and about four years of related experience, with travel up to 10% depending on project demands.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; 4 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Calibrates process controls used in water processing and water distribution equipment.
• Performs periodic analysis of water processing and water distribution equipment and related process controls to determine need for repairs.
• Detects and troubleshoots production defects of water treatment and water distribution equipment.
• Certifies and documents that calibration procedures have been performed.
• Ensures equipment meets federal, state, and local operating standards.
• Performs other duties as required.
• Repairs pipes, lights, power and instrumentation system.
