Nephron Pharmaceuticals Corporation in West Columbia, SC seeks an Instrumentation Maintenance Specialist to oversee all aspects of laboratory instrumentation in the chemistry lab and support related duties. The role requires planning preventative maintenance, updating SOPs, and ensuring timely supply orders while driving cost savings and value delivery.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree or 7+ years in Quality Control Chemistry or R&D, with strong knowledge of cGMP, FDA/USP requirements,

Qualifications

Experience with cGMP documentation systems and implementation of quality systems.
Strong knowledge of FDA, USP, and industry requirements for analytical instrumentation qualification and maintenance.
Must have strong project management skills and provide technical support with compliance to standards to meet business initiatives.
Must possess direct experience with maintaining HPLC, GC, and other common laboratory instrumentation.
Must possess strong IT skills and understanding of hardware and software troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation.
Must be detail oriented and have excellent organizational skills.
Must have effective written and oral communication skills and be able to handle multiple projects within limited time frames.

Responsibilities

Plans, organizes, and manages preventative maintenance of laboratory equipment.
Creates or modifies SOPs, forms, logbooks to facilitate the instrumentation program.
Ensures supplies are on hand for routine maintenance and orders non-routine maintenance promptly.
Focuses on cost savings and value delivery, ensuring maintenance is high quality and lower cost than vendor contracts.
