Job summary

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience related to instrumentation and control systems.
• EIT is preferred.
• PE license is preferred.
• BS in Engineering from ABET-accredited institution.

Responsibilities

• Performs assignments that require application of engineering education, training or experience and special knowledge or judgment of the mathematical, physical, or engineering sciences
• Prepares basic to advanced specifications detailing performance requirements, specific components, design requirements, applicable design codes, and vendor drawing requirements
• Prepares technical specifications for review and approval
• Assists in the development of instrumentation design calculations and packages
• Visits vendor facilities to inspect equipment for compliance with requirements
• Visits jobsites to evaluate site, project requirements, and conditions
• Prepares inquiry and purchase requisitions
• Prepares bid tabulations on simple purchases
• Reviews vendor drawings
• Develops a focus on least cost, safe design
• Supervises design personnel
• Actively involved in maintaining the schedule and budget of assigned projects
