Job summary

Keystone Engineering is seeking an Instrument Engineer for a Lake Charles Area on-site client position. The role centers on instrumentation engineering across operations, capital projects, and turnarounds, owning technical changes in the facility.

Responsibilities include investigating instrumentation failures, sizing and specifying instruments, reviewing datasheets, and supporting DCS/PLC integration with DeltaV/ABB/Allen Bradley while adhering to ISA 84/IEC 61511 standards.

Qualifications

B.S. in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
8+ years of detailed engineering/design experience in PSM-regulated petrochemical or refining industries.
Willingness to travel and lead field communications.

Responsibilities

Investigate instrumentation failures and develop corrective action recommendations.
Root cause analysis during startup, shutdown, or abnormal operations.
Size and specify instrumentation for flow, pressure, level, temperature, and analytical applications.
Develop and review instrument datasheets, specifications, and installation details.
Review vendor data sheets and fabrication packages for instrumentation and control equipment.
Serve as instrumentation lead during FEED and detailed design phases.
