Job Summary
ONEOK is seeking a Lead Instrumentation & Electrician Technician for work in the field and at the Lobo Plant in Mentone, TX. Responsibilities include installation, troubleshooting, calibration, and maintenance of electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and analytical instrumentation systems.
Responsibilities
- Install, operate, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate/adjust, and maintain instrumentation and control equipment including Calorimeters, Chromatographs, Moisture Analyzers, ESD systems, Flow Computers, PH & conductivity probes, Instrumentation Meter tubes, and satellite equipment.
- Maintain and repair Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, Distributed Control Systems (DCS), and Programmable Logic Control (PLC) systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance and analytical testing on compressors, engines, drivers, and auxiliary equipment.
- Maintain electrical power circuits, switchgear, and power distribution, including high‑voltage systems.
- Install and maintain security/intrusion systems and ensure vehicle maintenance is completed.
- Prepare and approve maintenance and repair records, safety and environmental reports, mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, pressure readings, material and supply orders, loop sheets, and meter tube/orifice plate ratios.
- Plan work procedures and coordinate with the Department of Transportation for pipeline-related functions, including emergency response.
- Respond promptly to dangerous or hazardous conditions and enforce safety precautions to prevent serious injury or property damage.
Qualifications
- No formal education required.
- Experience with tools, equipment, and control systems relevant to instrumentation and electrical work.
- Knowledge of gas processing fundamentals, computer software, governmental rules, regulations, and industry codes.
- Familiarity with repair orders, mechanical drawings, procedures, charts, diagrams, dials, gauges, and equipment manuals.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic and communicate effectively.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and verify maintenance/repar tracking.
Physical Demands
- Heavy lifting (50–100 lbs) occasionally; frequent lifting (25–50 lbs) and handling (10–20 lbs) regularly.
- Standing and walking frequently; prolonged sitting occasionally.
- Requires manual dexterity and the ability to reach, grasp, and manipulate objects.
- May involve exposure to extreme temperatures, dust, fumes, vibrations, and electrical hazards.
Work Conditions
- Work in indoor climate‑controlled areas and outdoors in varied weather.
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts, high‑voltage equipment, and loud or high‑pitched noises.
- Travel within an assigned area and to other locations as required.

Additional Information
Expected Salary Range: $101,000.00 – $151,000.00
