Job summary

U.S. Water Services Corporation in Florida is seeking an experienced Instrumentation and Control Technician to maintain and repair I&C systems across our water treatment facilities.

You will calibrate sensors, transmitters, valves, and PLCs, and support safety and compliance standards on site. The role requires 5+ years in I&C maintenance, CMMS familiarity, and the ability to troubleshoot equipment, document results, and collaborate with maintenance teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in instrumentation and control maintenance, specifically in the water treatment industry, with 3+ years in the operation and maintenance (O&M) phase.
• Strong knowledge of I&C systems, including sensors, transmitters, control valves, and control systems.
• Experience in process instrumentation such as flow, pressure, level, temperature meters.
• Experience in analytical instrumentation such as pH, ORP, turbidity chlorine meter and other specific analytic meters.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve instrumentation and control issues effectively and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and calibration of I&C equipment, including sensors, transmitters, control valves, and PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers).
• Troubleshoot and resolve instrumentation and control system issues to ensure continuous and reliable operation of the facility's processes.
• Assist in implementing and monitoring preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and enhance system performance.
• Conduct inspections and diagnostics on control systems to identify potential failures and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, calibration data, and system performance.
• Adhere to safety protocols during all instrumentation and control tasks, ensuring compliance with industry standards and facility regulations.

Job Purpose:

Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of instrumentation and control systems to ensure optimal operation and compliance with safety and performance standards. Support the maintenance team by ensuring the accuracy and reliability of control systems, sensors, and instrumentation in the

Key Accountabilities:

Professional/Technical Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in instrumentation and control maintenance, specifically in the water treatment industry, with 3+ years in the operation and maintenance (O&M) phase.
